J-Hope Is On Track To Make 2025 Another Big Year

It was only a year ago that J-Hope released his last solo collection. Hope on the Street, Vol. 1 debuted in March 2024 and became a fast global success at the time. The project itself was a big winner, and several of the tunes featured on its short tracklist also became hits. Now, the BTS star is looking to make 2025 another big year when it comes to his solo career, as the band that made him a star is still on hiatus.

J-Hope shared his first bit of new music in mid-February when he joined hip-hop musician Don Toliver on the track “LV Bag.” The tune was a highly collaborative affair, as it credited not just J-Hope as a featured artist, but also Speedy and Pharrell Williams.

Very soon, “LV Bag” could bring all of those musicians to a number of Billboard charts. The track may be headed for a debut on the Hot 100, and it likely sold well enough to appear on at least one or two purchase-centric tallies, if not several.

That collaboration won’t have to stand long as J-Hope’s only 2025 solo release, as the singer has already announced a new drop. Another track, “Sweet Dreams,” is set to arrive on Friday, March 7, and it will see J-Hope leading the charge.

That upcoming release will likely also become a hit in America, as is often the case with everything the K-pop icon shares, and perhaps even bring J-Hope back to the Hot 100 just a week or two after scoring his first hit of 2025. “Sweet Dreams” also aligns J-Hope with another popular artist in the Western world—R&B superstar and Grammy winner Miguel is set to feature on the tune.

In a press release announcing the cut, it is described as a “soulful blend of pop and R&B,” which is something a bit different for the rapper and singer. For the moment, no full-length or EP has been announced by J-Hope. That may change once he has two tracks out in the world and performing well, as he he may capitalize on that quick success with some sort of larger release.

J-Hope’s most recent project specifically came with the title Hope on the Street, Vol. 1. That indicates there could be a second installment coming at some point, though the South Korean powerhouse talent hasn’t yet revealed what’s in store. Could “LV Bag” or “Sweet Dreams” – or maybe even both tunes – end up on volume two?

The first quarter of 2025 isn’t even over yet, and it looks like J-Hope is already attempting to make the most of a relatively quiet period in the American music industry. He’s not competing with any of his fellow BTS stars — at least not at the moment — but since some of them could be working on new music and looking for spots on the calendar when they can drop singles, EPs, and albums, he may want to quickly reveal his plans and give his large following more of what they constantly crave: new music.

Browser and Platform Compatibility

This interactive page performs well on modern desktop and laptop browsers, including Chrome, Firefox, Edge, and Safari. The transitions and opacity effects work smoothly, and the overlapping sidebar enhances readability when hovered over. The use of RGBA colors ensures that semi-transparent elements render correctly across different screen resolutions.

On mobile devices, some features do not work as intended. The sidebar, for example, is difficult to interact with due to its hover-based opacity change, which does not translate well to touchscreens. The mulitple backgorunds with transitions do not work as well due to both the hover and image sizing. Future improvements for compatibility may need to include size adjustments, flexboxes and making clickable transitions instead of hover.
